There are a few key things that you want to make sure that you talk about as it relates to your condition story.
Once you've written down your story, I want you to practice saying it out loud. Yes. The reason why I'm asking you to practice saying it out loud, is because you want it to be succinct to the point and give enough detail that it allows your endocrinologist to say, all right, this is what's going on.
I found that I have to go into the endocrinologist’s office slightly directive about how I want things to go. I will completely and totally forget about what I was supposed to say or do, which is why keeping my story handy is necessary. It avoids distractions. It prevents you from being really nervous, because you might not always know what to expect, but you know your story.
