Now, many of us know about macronutrients and sometimes you'll hear them refer to as getting your “macros”: carbs, proteins and fats. However, we also don’t talk about calories in terms of energy and fuel. The question that I always ask myself if how will I use food as fuel? 


This episode unpacked quite a few concepts, but the primary thing discussed was micronutrients.


Simply put, micronutrients are your vitamins and minerals: water soluble vitamins, fat soluble vitamins, minerals and water. 


The good thing is that when you eat a well rounded diet, you will get many of these nutrients in the food that you consume!
